Cinematic before educational
We script and shoot each video like a documentary film first. The curriculum mapping follows the storytelling, not the other way around. Students don't notice the lesson because they're too absorbed in the scene.

Our Story
Students today grow up watching David Attenborough narrate icebergs calving and bioluminescent creatures pulsing in the deep. Then they walk into a science classroom and watch a 2003 Flash animation of a cell dividing.
Lumenara was built to close that gap. We produce science videos with documentary-grade cinematography — cinematic lighting, realistic particle physics, immersive sound design — delivered in the vertical format students already use to watch everything else.
Every video is mapped to curriculum standards. Every second earns its place.
"Students who learn through visual storytelling retain concepts 3× longer."
— Educational Research Quarterly
What We Believe
Curiosity is the
original
scientific method.
We design every video to spark a question students didn't know they had — then answer it with the full weight of cinematic science.
How We Make It
We script and shoot each video like a documentary film first. The curriculum mapping follows the storytelling, not the other way around. Students don't notice the lesson because they're too absorbed in the scene.
Every frame is composed for 9:16. Not cropped from a landscape version. Not adapted. The visual language is built from the ground up for the screen students actually hold.
We render particle interactions, phase changes, and molecular motion with cinematic physics engines. When students see water molecules bond, it looks like something real — not clip art.
Every episode ships with a curriculum tag, a vocabulary list, and discussion questions. Teachers can drop a Lumenara video into any lesson plan with zero prep — students do the rest.
The Library
Cells, genetics, ecosystems, human body systems — rendered at the microscopic scale students can finally see.
120+ videos
Atomic structure, chemical bonds, reactions, and thermodynamics — shown at the particle level with cinematic physics.
95+ videos
Forces, waves, electromagnetism, and quantum phenomena — visualised with the clarity textbooks never managed.
85+ videos
Plate tectonics, climate systems, ocean currents, and geology — at geological time scale compressed into 5 stunning minutes.
75+ videos
Stars, black holes, the solar system, and cosmology — rendered with the same visual language as NASA mission footage.
65+ videos
Climate science, biodiversity, and human impact — grounded in data, told through the visual language of the natural world.

For Teachers
Each Lumenara episode arrives pre-tagged to NGSS, Common Core Science, and state-level standards. Open the teacher dashboard, filter by grade and topic, and the right video surfaces in seconds.
Download the companion worksheet, vocabulary list, and discussion questions — all formatted and print-ready. Or project the video directly from the platform with one click.
